12 Mukhi Nepali Rudraksha

The 12 Mukhi Nepali Rudraksha is the solar bead of our collection, and we tend to describe it to customers as a bead of visibility and authority. Tradition names it Dwadash Aditya, the twelve Adityas or solar deities, and places it under Lord Surya and the Sun, the planet of self, leadership and vitality. The Padma Purana states that its wearer is freed from want and from fear of fire and disease, while the Shrimad Devi Bhagavata describes a wearer who fears neither armed men nor wild animals. For that reason it has long been suggested for administrators, doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs and anyone whose work depends on being seen and trusted.

We source our 12 Mukhi from the same Nepali growers we have worked with since 2003, and the Nepali bead is prized for being larger, rounder and more deeply etched than its Indonesian counterpart. It is a moderately available mukhi rather than a rare one, so we can usually offer a good spread of sizes, from regular daily-wear beads to fuller collector pieces.

Because Surya governs radiance, this bead is traditionally believed to lift stress, dispel lethargy and encourage confident action, and practitioners often pair it with the Surya Gayatri recited at dawn.
