The 16 Mukhi Nepali Rudraksha is a bead of victory, and in the trade it is often simply called Jai Rudraksha. Tradition regards it as an intense, protective form of Rudra, and various sources also connect it with Mahakaal, the conqueror of time, so its recurring theme is triumph over fear, deceit and adversity. The Shiva Purana and Linga Purana are cited for its protective power, and it is one of the beads people traditionally keep in the home as well as wear, believing it shields the household against theft and misfortune.
