Shaligram is sacred stone found in Holy Gandaki River, Nepal. Buddha is the ninth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Buddha though born in the rich and kings family left his family in search of truth and wisdom. There are innumerable avatars of Lord Vishnu, of which are known as Dashavataras or the ten avatars which are the most discussed. Lord Gautama Buddha, popularly known as the Buddha or Lord Buddha (also known as Siddhartha Gotam or Siddhārtha Gautama or Buddha Shakyamuni), It bestows blessings in six realms of life which includes wealth, good health, wordly and spiritual pleasures, spiritual progress, protection, righteous livings. The fine meticulous carving along with the coarse surface of Shaligram and the natural black colour give the idol a unique antique appeal. It is good for concentration and meditation and also helps in leading sacred and austere life. The worshipper of this Shaligram gets detached and leads a sacred life.
