11 Mukhi Nepali Rudraksha

At Aum Tatva we have handled the 11 Mukhi Nepali Rudraksha since our wholesale days began in 2003, and it remains one of the beads we most enjoy explaining to devotees. Traditionally it is the bead of Ekadasha Rudra, the eleven aspects of Rudra, and is closely identified with Lord Hanuman, which is why it carries a reputation for courage, composure and disciplined speech. The Padma Purana is the text most often cited for its virtues, describing the wearer as blessed with the qualities of Hanuman himself, while the Shiva Purana preserves a well-known verse on the eleven-faced bead. Because Hanuman is regarded as a lifelong brahmachari and a master of the senses, practitioners commonly recommend this Rudraksha to students, competitive aspirants, meditators and anyone working on self-control.

Every 11 Mukhi we ship is the genuine seed of Elaeocarpus ganitrus, sourced through our own Kathmandu network directly from Nepali farmers whose families have supplied us for two decades. The beads are naturally round to slightly oval, with eleven clean lines running pole to pole, and we grade them for depth of mukhi, surface health and weight before they ever reach a customer. Unlike the very high mukhis, the 11 Mukhi is available in reasonable quantity each season, which keeps it accessible, though a well-formed collector-size bead is always harder to find.

On the wellbeing side we prefer to be careful with our language. In traditional practice this bead is believed to steady the nerves and support decisiveness, and long-time wearers report a settled, focused feeling during sadhana. Rudraksha seeds are known to carry natural electromagnetic and paramagnetic properties, and some published research links this bio-electric character to the body’s own nervous-system signalling, with a few studies also pointing to antimicrobial activity in seed extracts. We present such findings as ongoing study rather than medical promises.
