- Cleanse it: Rinse in Gangajal or clean water and let it dry.
- Offer it: Keep it before Lord Shiva with a flower and a lit diya.
- Chant 108 times: ॐ ह्रीं ह्रीं हूं हूं ब्रह्मणे नमः (Om Hreem Hreem Hum Hum Brahmane Namah).
- Wear or keep it: On the neck, or in the home temple.
