- Choose the day: Monday morning, after a bath.
- Cleanse it: Rinse in Gangajal or clean water and let it dry.
- Offer it: Keep it before Lord Shiva with a flower and a lit diya.
- Chant 108 times: ॐ श्रीं मनोवाञ्छितं ह्रीं ॐ नमः (Om Shreem Manovanchhitam Hreem Om Namah), or Om Namah Shivaya.
- Wear it: On the neck, close to the heart.
