Haldi (Turmeric) Mala
A Haldi Mala is a japa mala made from dried turmeric (haldi) root beads. Yellow is the colour of Goddess Baglamukhi and of Jupiter (Guru), so the mala is used for Baglamukhi and Guru japa, and traditionally for victory, knowledge and good fortune.

Turmeric is sacred, healing and bright yellow. A Haldi Mala, made from dried turmeric root, is the traditional mala for Goddess Baglamukhi and for Jupiter (Guru).

How to use the Haldi mala
- Day: Thursday.
- Offer it with yellow flowers and a ghee diya.
- Chant ॐ ह्लीं बगलामुख्यै नमः for Baglamukhi, or ॐ ग्रां ग्रीं ग्रौं सः गुरवे नमः for Guru.
- Do not cross the guru bead. Turn the mala and go back.
Care tips: Keep it dry and in a clean pouch. Turmeric can stain light clothes.
How to check if it is genuine?
Real Haldi beads are uneven, natural turmeric root with a mild smell. Painted wood is sometimes sold instead. Every Aum Tatva mala comes with a report from RGTL (Rudraksha and Gems Testing Lab), an independent lab trusted by premium brands across India.
