A Garbh Gauri Rudraksha is two Rudraksha beads joined together by nature, where one bead is clearly smaller than the other, like a mother holding her child. It represents Goddess Parvati (Gauri) with baby Ganesha, and is traditionally worn by women hoping to conceive and for a safe, healthy pregnancy.

Some Rudraksha beads grow joined together on the tree. When one of the pair is noticeably smaller, like a child in a mother’s arms, it is called a Garbh Gauri Rudraksha. Garbh means womb and Gauri is Goddess Parvati.

How to wear the Garbh Gauri Rudraksha?
- Day: Monday morning, after a bath.
- Purify: Rinse it in Gangajal or clean water and let it dry.
- Offer: Keep it before Goddess Parvati and Ganesha with a flower and a lit diya.
- Chant 108 times: ॐ नमः शिवाय (Om Namah Shivaya).
- Wear it on a red thread around the neck, or keep it in the home temple.
Care tips: Remove it before bathing with soap and oil it lightly once a month.
How to identify a genuine Garbh Gauri Rudraksha?
Fake joined beads are often two separate beads glued together. On a real one, the joint is natural, with the skin flowing from one bead to the other. An X-ray shows natural inner chambers.
