- Place it on a clean cloth in the home temple, facing east or north.
- Offer flowers, incense and a lit diya.
- Chant the mantra of the deity, such as Om Gam Ganapataye Namah for Ganesha.
- Wipe it gently with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.

Rudraksha beads that have been energised (pran pratishtha performed) are sacred objects. Once energised, a bead holds divine energy specific to the individual it was prepared for. For this reason, energised beads cannot be returned for personal preference — only for authenticity or damage issues.
